The European Rim Policy and Investment Council (ERPIC) in Larnaca, Cyprus offers a 6-month internship programme for graduates, PhD students and others at the start of their careers. Interns receive free accommodation, an office, a weekly allowance and various other opportunities. ERPIC generally requires graduates in "Law, Political Science and/or International Relations", but there is no reason why students or graduates in Modern Greek Studies (or any cognate discipline) should not apply.

McGill UNIVERSITY--The Department of History and Classical Studies of McGill University invites applications for the Phrixos B. Papachristidis Chair in Modern Greek Studies. This is a tenure-track position at the rank of assistant professor. The Chair's research and teaching specialization is in modern Greek language and literature. Additional interests in the area of the Department of History and Classical Studies are an asset. Fluency in modern Greek is a requirement for the position. The Chair holder will oversee a Minor concentration in Neo-Hellenic Studies.

The Department of Classics and the Program in Hellenic Studies at Princeton University invite applications for an Assistant Professor position, tenure track, in the field of post-Classical Greek language and the Greek literary tradition, broadly understood. The successful candidate should have a PhD in Classics or a related area and demonstrated expertise in the Greek language, literature and culture of Late Antiquity and the Byzantine or post-Byzantine periods.

The Department of Classical Studies in the College of Literature, Science, and the Arts at the University of Michigan seeks qualified applicants for a full time Lecturer I or III position to begin September 1, 2010. This is a non-tenure track position, which we expect to initially offer for three years. Department of Byzantine and Modern Studies, School of Arts and Humanities

Applications are invited for a fixed-term lectureship in Modern Greek Literature in the Department of Byzantine and Modern Greek Studies at King’s College London, starting in September 2009, for 3 years. The vacancy arises from the award of a Major Leverhulme Fellowship to Professor Roderick Beaton.

Applications are being accepted for an instructor’s position in Modern Greek Studies for the Fall 2008 or the Spring of 2009. We are seeking doctoral candidates or holders of a PhD who specialize in the teaching of Modern Greek language, literature and/or history to teach at least one course in these aforementioned areas in the Modern Greek Studies Program at San Francisco State University.
