King's College London: Lecturer in Modern Greek Literature (Fixed-term)

Applications are invited for a fixed-term lectureship in Modern Greek Literature in the Department of Byzantine and Modern Greek Studies at King’s College London, starting in September 2009, for 3 years. The vacancy arises from the award of a Major Leverhulme Fellowship to Professor Roderick Beaton.

The successful candidate will have a PhD or equivalent qualification in Modern Greek Literature or a closely related field, and be able to teach graduate and undergraduate courses, chiefly in the literature of the twentieth century. You will be expected to contribute to the continuing development of the Department’s MA programme, Modern Greek Studies: Literature, and to engage in a programme of research and publication in the field.

The appointment will be made within Grade 6, currently £32,917 to £38,855 per annum, inclusive of £2,323 London Allowance per annum.
